ALICE’S LIFE STORY
I am Alice,
In 1998, at the age of four (4), according to my mum, I had an unusual kind of fever for which she sorted for all kinds of help in an attempt to save her little daughter’s life. However, she was unable to find help on time as all treatments were not really solving the problem.
The illness left after some time, but not without damage to my right leg which has rendered me physically impaired on the right leg. Thank God I am alive, I may not be as physically sound as others, but I am still grateful.
My mum heard about Elim as an organization that is open to helping me live a normal independent life despite my physical challenge; so she registered me as a client with Elim at a very tender age. This enabled me to benefit a lot, in fact, that is one of the very reasons I can share this story today.
The following are some of the things I benefited from Elim; physiotherapy exercises that have prevented further disability, regular visits and encouragement, Secondary School Education sponsorship, knitting and weaving vocational training, and settlement. As a result of Elim’s intervention, I have completed my Secondary Education and I currently own my own Knitting and Weaving outlet fully set up with an apprentice under me. I am truly grateful to God and to Elim.
